Resumen de la investigación:
The researchers propose to use Rapid Ethnographic Assessment Procedures (REAP) as cost-effective alternative to (a) identify localized CP hotspots; (b) quantify and describe the social, cultural, and economic impacts of CP on coastal communities in Puerto Rico and Guam; and (c) to develop culturally appropriate means of communicating risk to resource managers and local communities. The methods can be adapted to assess impacts Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) species globally.
